Will I be the only woman?

We have many talented women working across G4S in a variety of roles. In some of our contracts over 40% of the security team are women. We also have a Women's network to encourage female dialogue, challenge any issues, and provide support and encouragement to each other. Historically, it was a male-dominated industry but the face of security is changing.

Are there career development opportunities?

If you have the talent and appetite to develop, we will support you. We have a great professional development pathway through our apprenticeship programme that offers a range of courses and qualifications. We also offer a mentor programme to ensure you have the right support and encouragement when you need it.

Is security a safe role?

Many of our security roles are customer service focused. In these roles, it is important to use your communication, interpersonal, and observation skills to prevent threats and defuse situations.
